This Privacy Policy explains how the EasyPeek team ("EasyPeek", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the EasyPeek mobile application (the "App") and any related services (together, the "Service"). Because EasyPeek is designed to work almost entirely on your device, this policy is short by design.

The short version. EasyPeek does not require an account, does not upload your photos, videos, or location to our servers, and does not sell your personal information. Almost everything the app does happens locally on your device.

1. Overview

EasyPeek is a watermarking utility that runs on Apple devices. All watermark rendering, media editing, and file exports are performed on your device. We have designed the App so that the vast majority of user activity never leaves your device, and so that we, as the developer, have no visibility into your photos, videos, or precise location.

This Privacy Policy applies to the App and to this website. It does not apply to any third-party apps, websites, or services that you may access through the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

To make our approach very concrete, EasyPeek does not:

  • Require you to create an account or provide an email address, phone number, or name;
  • Upload your photos or videos to our servers;
  • Upload your GPS coordinates or address information to our servers;
  • Track your location in the background;
  • Sell or rent your personal information to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party;
  • Use third-party advertising SDKs or behavioral tracking within the App;
  • Read your address book, calendar, health data, or any other content unrelated to watermarking.

3. Information Processed on Your Device

To provide watermarking features, EasyPeek must process certain information locally on your device. This information is never transmitted to us:

  • Photos and videos that you import, capture, or edit within the App;
  • Location data (latitude, longitude, and reverse-geocoded address) when you enable the location watermark. This data is used only to render the watermark and is discarded when it is no longer needed for that purpose;
  • Time and date from your device's clock, used to render timestamp watermarks;
  • App settings and history such as your preferred watermark style, position, colors, and a local list of recently watermarked items, stored in the App's private storage area on your device.

4. Diagnostic & Crash Data

We may receive aggregated, anonymized diagnostics and crash reports through Apple's built-in analytics service if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers via Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements on your device. These reports typically include information such as device model, operating system version, and stack traces from crashes. They do not include your photos, videos, watermark content, or precise location. You may opt out at any time in your iOS settings.

5. Purchases & Subscriptions

If the App offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, those transactions are processed by Apple through the App Store and governed by Apple's terms and privacy policies. Apple provides us with limited, aggregated purchase and subscription information (for example, that a purchase was made) so that the App can unlock the corresponding features. We do not receive your credit card number, billing address, or Apple ID password.

6. Permissions We Request

To enable specific features, EasyPeek asks your device to grant certain permissions. You control these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

  • Camera. Required to capture photos and videos with a live watermark. The camera stream is processed locally and only saved to your Photos library when you explicitly save or share it.
  • Photo Library. Required to import your existing photos or videos and to save watermarked results back to your library. You can grant access to selected photos only.
  • Location Services. Optional. Requested only when you enable the location watermark, so the App can render your current location into the watermark. Location is used at the moment of capture or edit and is not stored, shared, or transmitted.
  • Microphone. Optional. Requested only if you record videos with audio using the App.
  • Notifications. Optional. Used only to notify you about local events (e.g., long-running batch exports).

7. How We Use Information

Because we do not receive your photos, videos, precise location, or other personal content on our servers, we cannot use that content for anything. Information processed on your device is used exclusively to:

  • Provide and operate the watermarking, editing, and export features you request;
  • Remember your preferences and history within the App;
  • Diagnose crashes and improve the App (only via Apple analytics, if you have opted in).

8. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with similar laws, the legal bases we rely on for the very limited processing we perform are:

  • Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR): providing the App's features that you have requested;
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): keeping the App stable and secure, understanding aggregated crashes, and preventing abuse. These interests do not override your fundamental rights;
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): where you grant a permission such as location access. You can withdraw consent at any time via iOS Settings.

9. Sharing & Disclosures

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only disclose information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your direction. When you share watermarked media from the App to another app (e.g., Messages, Mail, or a social network), you are choosing to send that content to that destination. EasyPeek does not control what happens to your content once it leaves the App.
  • Service providers. To the extent we rely on service providers (for example, Apple for App Store distribution, analytics, and payment processing), those providers act on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect the limited information they receive.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EasyPeek, our users, or others.

10. Data Retention

Information processed on your device (such as watermark settings and history) remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App. Aggregated diagnostic data received through Apple analytics is retained by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We do not maintain our own servers that store your personal information.

11. Data Security

Because we do not host your personal content on our servers, the most important factor in the security of your data is the security of your own device. We recommend keeping your operating system up to date, using a device passcode or biometric lock, and being cautious when granting permissions to any app.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the limited information that we and our service providers do receive.

12. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding personal information, including the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, as well as the right to data portability. Because we do not collect personal information from you outside of the limited situations described above, most of these rights are already effectively honored: you can uninstall the App at any time to erase locally stored settings and history from your device.

13. Children's Privacy

EasyPeek is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

14. International Transfers

The App is distributed globally via the Apple App Store. Because we do not operate servers that store your personal information, the App itself does not transfer your personal information across borders. Any limited data handled by our service providers (for example, aggregated diagnostics received through Apple) may be processed in countries other than your own, in accordance with those providers' policies and applicable transfer mechanisms.

15. Third-Party Services

The App may allow you to share content to third-party apps and services (for example, Messages, Mail, or social platforms). These third parties are not controlled by EasyPeek and have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where changes are material, notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
